  1. Demon Users (using AmiTCP3)

  4. In the main CP5 preferences you will need to change the following details
  5. inorder to enable the start,stop,connect & disconnect buttons to work with
  6. your existing setup.

  8. Start Amitcp Cmd. - should be set to amitcp:bin/startnet
  9. Stop Amitcp Cmd.  - should be set to amitcp:bin/stopnet
  10. Connect Cmd.      - should be set to amitcp:bin/link up news
  11. Disconnect Cmd.   - should be set to amitcp:bin/link down

  13. There is no need for you to install Amiconnect, you will need to edit you
  14. link script slightly to enable the connect time to work. An example link
  15. script is included in the docs drawer.

  17. Other Users

  19. For a standard AmiTCP4 setup, you will need to alter the following

  21. Start Amitcp Cmd. - should be set to amitcp:bin/startnet
  22. Stop Amitcp Cmd.  - should be set to amitcp:bin/stopnet
  23. Connect Cmd.      - Not Applicable
  24. Disconnect Cmd.   - Not Applicable

  26. You may wish to install my Amiconnect program which will allow better
  27. compatibility and easier connections.
  28. Amiconnect should work with most modems, it is preset for use with the USR
  29. Sportster 14400, but these settings will need changing for other modems.

  31. If you have Amiconnect installed you will not need to change any of the
  32. default start/stop/connect/disconnect cmd values.
